A huge blow to Asseco Resovia. The club loses another star
The staff is being reshuffled at Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. The club officially announced that Yacine Louati will not appear in the squad next season.
In the last PlusLiga season, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów took fourth place after losing the bronze medal match with Projekt Warszawa. It has been known for some time that the club would change its squad. The coach, Giampaolo Medei, also left.
Yacine Louati leaves Rzeszów after a year
On Wednesday, Asseco Resovia announced that Torey Defalco was leaving the club after two seasons and would most likely move to the Japanese league. Next season, JTEKT Stings is to play, where he will form a pair of receivers with Ricardo Lucarelli. Thursday brings information about the death of another star.
Yacine Louati says goodbye after only a year of playing with Rzeszów. The French receiver played in 34 league matches, in which he scored a total of 337 points. He will continue his career in Italy. He is to join the Allianz Milano club.
– I would like to thank Yacin for the season together, for his work, commitment and full professionalism. Yacine has proven himself not only as an excellent volleyball player, but also as a man who gives great support to the entire team – both on and off the pitch. He was the good spirit of our team. I can only speak about him in superlatives, said Piotr Maciąg, president of Asseco Resovia, quoted by the club's official website.
Asseco Resovia with a new quarterback
It was already known that Fabian Drzyzga and Jakub Kochanowski would also leave the team from Podkarpacie. Asseco Resovia will acquire, among others: Gregor Ropret, who is to be Drzyzga's deputy. Bartosz Bednorz, who is saying goodbye to Grupa Azoty Kędzierzyn-Koźle, is also expected to come to the club. Resovia activists will probably do everything to make the team strong enough to fight for the highest goals.
