A kangaroo was jumping around a Polish city. Police intervention was needed
A kangaroo was seen in one of the Polish towns located in the center of the country. The marsupial was jumping around the streets of Słupno. To ensure his safety, residents called the police to the scene.
In Poland, it is not unusual to see a bear on the streets of Podhale towns or a moose in the center of the country. However, the kangaroo is an unusual phenomenon and it is no wonder that its presence arouses great interest.
The Municipal Police Headquarters in Płock announced that a representative of the marsupial species had found itself in one of the central Polish towns.
A kangaroo appeared in Słupno
Słupno is a small town in Płock County. It is located a few kilometers southeast of the borders of Płock. It has a population of just over 2,000. people. And the residents of this area recently had the opportunity to meet a unique neighbor. Last weekend, a kangaroo decided to explore this area.
“Out of concern for the animal that was traveling on the jumps in the street area and the safety of road users, concerned residents notified local officers. As it turned out, the “tourist” escaped from a nearby ranch,” wrote representatives of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Płock.
The marsupial ventured into the street. One of the residents even reported that he landed in front of the hood of his car and then jumped aside. When he told his relatives this, no one wanted to believe that he had seen a kangaroo.
The police were called to the scene.
The police intervened
“Police officers from the Słupno Police Station received an unusual report. A kangaroo was jumping near one of the local streets. Out of concern for the animal and the safety of road users, the residents called police officers to the scene and showed the officers where the jumper was currently located. As it turned out, the kangaroo escaped from a nearby ranch, the owner of which was contacted by the police. Fortunately, while exploring the area, the exotic tourist jumped onto a nearby property and was locked up. The owner of the animal made sure that the kangaroo returned safely to his ranch,” the officers added.
And they also posted photos of the fugitive on their website.
