Now the world of Polish football says goodbye to Borys Kwiatkowski. The player born in Zduńska Wola has been wearing the shirt of third league team Victoria Sulejówek for several years. He was the basic goalkeeper and at the same time an important figure in Łukasz Ryczkowski’s team in the autumn round of the 2023/2024 season. He kept five clean sheets in fifteen league games. The club announced the player’s death, which occurred on New Year’s Eve, on social media.
“It is with great regret that we inform you that our goalkeeper Borys Kwiatkowski died on December 31. We express our sincere condolences to Boris’s loved ones. Words will not ease the pain we feel,” it was written in a short entry available on the social media of the band from Sulejówek.
Borys Kwiatkowski’s career
Kwiatkowski grew up playing football in Pogoń Zduńska Wola. Then he joined the juniors, reserves, and later also the first team of Znicz Pruszków. He has been associated with Victoria Sulejówek since 2018.
After the end of the autumn round of the 3rd league in group 1, the team from Sulejówek is ninth in the table. With 25 points, they are thirteen points behind the leader, Pogoń Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
