Pierce Brosnan and his wife, Keely Shaye Brosnan, longtime Malibu residents, decided it was time to cash in. The actor, known for his role as 007 James Bond, has put his estate on Broad Beach in Malibu up for sale for $100 million.
Brosnan played James Bond in four films. In the early 2000s, the actor purchased a huge mansion in Malibu for $7.35 million. Initially, there was a house from the 1950s. Ultimately, the couple decided to demolish it and build a complex inspired by Thailand. The estate was designed by architects Ross and Ralph Anderson and named it Orchid House.
From the website where the property is for sale, we learn that it has five bedrooms and nine and a half bathrooms. The main house forms a U-shape around the entrance to a courtyard lined with palm trees. The living and dining room, which has a shared fireplace, open onto a wide oceanfront deck, and the light-filled dining room has two islands and sliding glass doors that open to the deck and pool.
On the ground floor there are also two spacious guest bedrooms and a third one that can be used as a staff room or home office. On the second floor there is one bedroom, two bathrooms, two dressing rooms, a library and a guest apartment with a separate entrance. The property also offers a modern cinema room, a fully equipped gym and a Japanese-style spa with a steam room and dry sauna.
