Alina Kamińska is fighting for recovery. There was a "bomb" ticking in the actress's head

“I talked to my mother and after a while I knew that she felt pain that even she couldn't cope with!” – we read in the description of the fundraiser started on the Siepomaga website by actress Alina Kamińska's daughter, Ola. The artist must undergo expensive rehabilitation after an aneurysm burst in her head.

Alina Kamińska cooperates with the Bagatela Theater in Krakow on a daily basis. She appeared in productions such as “Miasto 44″ or ” Moje pole”. She also gained popularity as a lecturer. She has provided voices in nature and documentary films, as well as computer games. Now the actress is fighting to regain full fitness. The artist underwent embolization of a brain aneurysm. The procedure involves “turning off” the aneurysm from the circulatory system. For this purpose, special microcatheters are inserted into the vessel, which close the vessel lumen. The operation was successful. Then the actress was put into a medically induced coma.

After waking up, it was certain that rehabilitation was inevitable! This is the only salvation in the fight for my mother's return to normal functioning and her former life, to an extent unknown at this moment… – reports Alina Kamińska's daughter.

What is a brain aneurysm and what are its symptoms?

A brain aneurysm is an abnormality that occurs within the cerebral arteries. It occurs when one of the vessel walls weakens. Flowing blood pushes it out, creating a bulge. Over time, it becomes larger and larger. It may also burst. At the initial stage of development, a brain aneurysm does not cause any obvious symptoms. Then headaches, nausea, vomiting, stiff neck and visual disturbances appear. The type of symptoms depends largely on what structures are pressed by the growing aneurysm.

Risk factors for the development of a brain aneurysm

The causes of weakening of cerebral arteries and the formation of aneurysms are not fully understood. It is known, however, that their occurrence is favored by genetic factors and hypertension. A test that detects abnormalities in the structure of brain blood vessels is computed tomography. The method of treating the changes depends on the location and size of the aneurysm. One of the most frequently used methods is the previously mentioned embolization procedure. People who would like to support Alina Kamińska can do so at this link.
