An investigation into Agent Tomek's notes was initiated. It's about the "Kwaśniewski villa"

The District Prosecutor's Office in Łódź initiated an investigation into the notes prepared by agent Tomek regarding the “Kwaśniewski villa”. They were supposed to be evidence of the alleged violation of the law by the presidential couple.

TVN24 informs that the District Prosecutor's Office in Łódź has initiated an investigation into the “Kwaśniewski villa”, specifically Agent Tomek's operational notes regarding it. Investigators suspect that Tomasz Kaczmarek prepared them at the request of the then heads of the CBA, Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik.

Investigation into Agent Tomek's notes. “I was supposed to create a belief.”

It was Tomek's agent's notes that were supposed to be evidence of the alleged violation of the law by the presidential couple. According to the CBA, the house allegedly belonged to the Kwaśniewski family, although officially it was owned by their friend. The CBA claimed that the former presidential couple was hiding their assets in this way.

In 2020, agent Tomek said that he acted in this case on behalf of his superiors.

– I was supposed to create the belief that the house in Kazimierz Dolny belongs to Jolanta and Aleksander Kwaśniewski. (…) I have never received such evidence (…) My notes and testimonies are the result of pressure from my former superiors (…) Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik – he said in the “Superwizjer” material. – (…) Maciej Wąsik forced me to suggest that the villa belongs to the presidential couple, suggesting that he had other evidence about it – said Kaczmarek about the conversations with people living in the villa.

Another element of the investigation initiated by the Łódź prosecutor's office is to provide information from the proceedings to journalists of “Rzeczpospolita” and “Gazeta Polska”, as revealed by “Gazeta Wyborcza”.

In 2020, the former president said he had been harassed since 2007 over the matter.

– Zbigniew Ziobro, through the prosecutor's office, started harassing me in 2007. Today, 13 years have passed and the same prosecutor's office is investigating the same case, and they didn't even bother to question me, he told Wirtualna Polska.

In 2022, the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Katowice issued a decision to discontinue the investigation into the assets of Jolanta and Aleksander Kwaśniewski. This decision was made due to the “lack of data sufficient to justify the suspicion of committing an act.”
