Personnel problems in the Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle team are not the first. The attackers and receivers of the Polish runners-up and the national team were unable to recover until Sunday. Ultimately, it turned out that on Tuesday their condition improved slightly, so much so that they went on a trip with the team to Turkey.
The photo posted on social media gives hope that Kaczmarek and Bednorz will be available to coach Adam Swaczyna. The question is, however, whether the mere fact of presence will be synonymous with high sports fitness. It must be assumed that ZAKSA will face a tough fight against Halkbank. In the first meeting in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, the defending European Cup champions won by at least 3:2.
Let us remind you that this is a play-off match giving a pass to the quarterfinals of the competition. In the last three seasons, ZAKSA has won the most important club competitions on the Old Continent. A fourth title in a row? The task will certainly be very difficult, primarily due to the decimation of personnel.
