Astonishing words from a former RPD. "Platfus and cries from Szymusio"

On Wednesday morning, the European Commission published a new version of the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP). This is how former children's rights ombudsman Mikołaj Pawlak reacted regarding the content of the document.

As explained by “Gazeta Wyborcza”, the NECP indicates the goals of the Polish authorities and energy companies regarding the construction of new energy sources and investments that will ultimately lead to a reduction in carbon dioxide (CO 2) emissions.

Lubnauer to Pawlak: You are insulting this office

The plan includes, among others: ban on the use of gas stoves by 2040. And within a few years – until 2027 – a tax will be imposed on these furnaces. But that's not all, because the carbon dioxide emission tax will also be imposed on gas, heating oil and coal. There are also plans to completely abandon coal stoves.

Mikołaj Pawlak, former children's rights ombudsman (until 2023), reacted to this information on Thursday. “Leftists, flatheads, crybabies from Szymusia and other eco-fools… eco-terrorists. Smile, wide, wide! Crying may be through tears. In the meantime, I will go to light a fire in the fireplace and add fuel to the stove,” he wrote on the X platform.

Below, in response, there was a comment from Deputy Minister Katarzyna Lubnauer. “I suggest removing RPD from the name because you insult this office,” she said bitterly.

More about NECP

The document recently published by the European Commission is an update of the National Energy and Climate Plan for 2021-2030. This is an important document from the point of view of the Polish energy sector and other sectors of the economy. Poland prepared a preliminary version of the NECP update, which was submitted to the European Commission on March 1 this year Broad consultations on the project will begin soon,” the Ministry of Climate and Environment said.

The ministry indicates two scenarios – basic and ambitious. Ultimately, the document will be finalized between the second and third quarter of 2024.
