Big Google outage. Problems include: in Poland

The last day of May was not good for users who use Google. The most popular search engine did not work for several hours. Information about the failure was confirmed, among others, by: users who report faults on downdetector.pl. Nearly 90 percent alarms concerned problems with the search engine (several dozen reports were reported after 3 p.m.). After hours 17 Google services in Poland have returned to working properly.

Until then, Google Discover, an application providing information based on the interests of each user, operated in a very limited version. Every Internet user using an Android phone, as well as owners of the Google Chrome application, can browse Discover. Problems with Google Discovery began around 2 p.m. Smartphone users did not see the news, messages and articles suggested by Google's algorithm.

Google News was also down for almost two hours. This service presents the most important information of the day and headlines of the largest Polish media.

The failure occurred not only in Poland, but also in other countries around the world.

Google itself responded to the problems late in the afternoon. – There is an ongoing issue with some features in Google Search. The incident started at 2024-05-30 19:36 (all times are US/Pacific).
