Ukraine. Biden Considers Massive Cyber Attack on Russia

According to NBC News, Joe Biden was introduced to the United States’ proposal to launch massive cyberattacks aimed at disrupting Russia’s ability to maintain military operations in Ukraine.

NBC News cites the findings of two U.S. intelligence officials, one intelligence official from another Western country and another source who wished to remain anonymous.

They show that American intelligence and United States cyber forces have proposed the use of American cyber weapons on an unprecedented scale. One of the possible scenarios being considered is the option of interrupting internet connectivity throughout Russia, cutting off the electricity supply and taking control of the railway traffic control system. In this way, the Kremlin would be completely deprived of the possibility of supplying its forces directed to Ukraine.

All interlocutors of the American station emphasized that no final decisions regarding a possible cyber attack have been made yet.
