Fan productions often surprise with their quality. This is confirmed by the work titled “Cyberpunk2077 Fan Film: Phoenix Program”, which is based on materials from the Polish CD Projekt RED game. It’s just a pity that Keanu Reeves wasn’t hired for the role played by Keanu Reeves.

Cyberpunk 2077 is undoubtedly the most anticipated video game in Poland since The Witchers, and hundreds of thousands of players around the world are already eagerly awaiting it. The first mention of a completely new production by the Polish studio CD Projekt Red appeared in 2012. After a few years, few people believed that Cyberpunk 2077 had a chance to see the light of day at all. Industry insiders claimed that if a company postpones a project for so long, it is most likely not satisfied with it and will eventually cancel the entire title. However, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018, the Polish publisher presented the first trailer of the long-awaited game. And the frenzy began. A record-breaking pre-sale and a huge advertising campaign were launched, with engaging materials almost every week. Unfortunately, the release date was later postponed.

Originally, the game “Cyberpunk 2077″ was supposed to be released on the market in April 2020. However, developers from CD Projekt RED announced that it will be postponed by several months, more precisely to September 17, 2020. “The game is complete and you can play it from start to finish, but there is still a lot of work ahead of us. Night City is huge, diverse and full of adventure, and given its scale and complexity, we felt we needed more time to complete testing, fix bugs, and put the finishing touches to the game. We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be the culmination of our work on the current generation of consoles,” emphasized the developers from CD Projekt Red.

Filmmakers unexpectedly come to the aid of the Polish studio and prepare a fan version of a film set in the game world. On May 9, a trailer for this production appeared on YouTube and many may rub their eyes. It looks and sounds quite interesting. The several hundred-strong list of creators also shows that despite the lack of support from a major label, the originators of the project are not complete amateurs and took the task seriously. Best to just check out the trailer. You’ll see for yourself.
