Daniel Obajtek, even before the committee meeting began, published a message on social media. “I learned from media information that I had been invited to participate in the Commission's hearing today. I was not formally notified about this hearing,” wrote the former president of Orlen.
“With the above in mind, I would like to point out that the date of my hearing should be set after the European Parliament election campaign. I think that you should also care that the Commission meeting does not become an arena for a political game, but a place for substantive discussion, which – due to the ongoing campaign – is currently impossible to conduct,” he continued on the X website (formerly Twitter – ed. ).
The former president of Orlen announced that he would inform the committee about the address for service and noted that it would be the address of his representative. “I assume that the temptation of asking me questions will not overshadow your obligation to comply with the provisions of the law, in particular: criminal procedure and the Act on the Sejm Investigative Committee. I look forward to participating in the Commission meeting on the scheduled date, after the election campaign,” concluded Daniel Obajtek.
