Diablo IV is coming to GamePass! And games created by Microsoft will go beyond Xbox

Microsoft announced that Diablo IV will soon be available in the GamePass service on Xbox consoles and Windows systems. And this is not the only important news.

GamePass seems to finally be taking off after Microsoft finalized its high-profile (and $69 billion) acquisition of Activision Blizzard last fall. The company, known, among others, from the Call of Duty series, also has another bestseller in its catalog, Diablo IV, which – as it has just been officially announced – will soon be available to all GamePass subscribers, both on Xbox Series consoles and Windows computers.

Diablo IV on GamePass

March 28, 2024 – mark this date in your calendars, because this is the day Diablo IV will appear in the GamePass catalog. Awaited for over ten years, the new installment of the cult series of computer games about conquering hell debuted in June 2023 and was met with a positive reception from reviewers and a mixed (forgive the euphemism) reception from players.

Objectively, Diablo IV is a very solid computer game, but on the other hand, unfortunately, it is not devoid of solutions that, more or less deservedly, have become the object of criticism from a large part of the series' fans. Either way, one of Activision Blizzard's biggest hits will join the GamePass library in a month and a half, and tens of millions of subscribers to this service can already enjoy it.

Xbox is staying, but…

Phil Spencer, the most important gaming person at Microsoft, also announced that his company, contrary to recent rumors, does not intend to give up maintaining Xbox as an entertainment hardware platform, so players can build their digital game libraries without any worries.

At the same time, however, we learned that four games, previously associated only with Xbox, will be released on consoles from other companies. The only problem is that Phil Spencer did not reveal what games and what consoles he was talking about. For now, despite everything, it will remain only a secret. All we know is that it won't be Starfield or the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

We can only wait for further developments in the Xbox and GamePass camp. The next portion of information on this topic, as every year, will be revealed at the Microsoft conference scheduled for June.
