Dominika Kulczyk, who took first place in last year’s ranking of the richest Polish women by the weekly “Wprost”, has just bought a new house. Its price is very impressive.
Dominika Kulczyk has just bought a new house. The information might not be very interesting if it were not for the fact that the property is located in a prestigious part of London and its price is 57.5 million pounds, i.e. over PLN 295.5 million at today’s exchange rate. The fortune of the daughter of Jan and Grażyna Kulczyk, who took first place in the ranking of the richest Polish women prepared by the weekly “Wprost”, is estimated at PLN 9 billion.
As reported by “The Telegraph”, the Polish woman became the owner of a property in the prestigious district of Knightsbridge, famous for its Victorian houses and extensive gardens. The house itself is located near the luxury department store Harrods. Mike Spink, known for his unique proposals on the London market, was responsible for the transaction. He recently sold a historic property near Buckingham Palace. It ended up in the hands of billionaire Ken Griffin.
Dominika Kulczyk’s spokesman declined to comment on this matter.
The rich benefit from the confusion
The UK property market has been experiencing a slump in recent months. This is mainly due to the Brexit confusion and the weak pound. This benefits people who can afford to buy a house in London. Investors are trying to get ahead of the planned new tax that is to be imposed on this type of transactions. According to experts, the amount for which Dominika Kulczyk purchased her new house is well below the market valuation. Savills believes that the property is worth approximately £65 million, or over PLN 335.7 million.
