How to use sweet basil seeds in the kitchen?

Tukmaria (other names are sabja, falooda or selasih) has similar uses to chia seeds (Spanish sage) or linseed. However, it must be consumed before consumption soak in water, milk or juice. You only need to do this for about 5 minutes, although the longer the better. Thanks to this treatment, it will swell, soften and create a gel coating around it.

Soaked seeds are great as an ingredient in desserts, yogurts, cocktails and salads. They have a slight crunch and, unlike Spanish sage, have a refreshing taste. They can be purchased in health food stores, both stationary and online. A package weighing 300 grams costs approximately PLN 15-30. The price depends largely on where you buy it.
