Gen. Andrzejczak positively about CPK. “It absolutely has military significance.”
Gen. Rajmund Andrzejczak believes that the CPK is not only of economic but also military importance. – This is a huge opportunity and a strategic signal for Russians that we take security and the adoption of deterrent potential seriously – he said.
General of the reserve Rajmund Andrzejczak was Robert Mazurek's guest in the Friday edition of Morning Interview on RMF FM. The military man was asked whether war was approaching us from the east.
Gen. Andrzejczak: There is a lot to do, not only in military terms
– The security situation is certainly poor, we are at risk of a huge conflict on our borders – said General Andrzejczak. – However, there is still time that we should use and win this time for ourselves. I deeply believe that these 2-3 years are the time when we should change everything possible to move away from this perspective – he added.
Robert Mazurek also recalled the words of the famous American general Ben Hodges, who estimated that World War III could break out even within 18 months.
– It reminds me of running around with a fire extinguisher and putting out every fire we see. And we should think more maturely about why the fire is burning, said General Andrzejczak, adding that there is too much alarmist reaction. – There is a lot to be done not only in military terms, but also in cyberspace, culture and finance, and medical issues – he added. – It is the state that is defending itself, it is the state that is at risk, not just the armed forces. The armed forces are only an instrument. First of all, we need precise legal regulations that will allow the state to enforce what is needed for security, he emphasized.

In this context, Gen. Andrzejczak was asked about the construction of the Central Communication Port.
– CPK is a state, economic project on a historical scale. It absolutely has military significance, but it is only a percentage of this project. I spoke for this percentage. However, if I am to comment without a uniform, I think it is necessary, it is a huge opportunity for the development of the Republic of Poland – he said.
He was also asked about the statement of the government's plenipotentiary for CPK, Maciej Lasek, who stated that “one, big, central airport is also one, big threat” because it will then be defended instead of other places, including cities.
– In general, it is dangerous to have the capital in one place and an LNG port in one place – he ironized. – This methodology leads us nowhere. We are building these capabilities, we are building this security architecture to mitigate these threats, not for them to be an explanation – replied General Andrzejczak, emphasizing that the construction of the CPK is included in the National Security Strategy of the Republic of Poland.
– If we want the Americans to arrive on time, for NATO to be ready to send forces that will be here earlier, before the war, then the CPK will fulfill its main task, which is deterrence. This war is not supposed to happen. The CPK will attract forces that will deter the enemy, he said. – Let's not look at this project as a threat to local airports. This is a huge opportunity and a strategic signal for Russians that we take security and the adoption of deterrent potential seriously. And CPK can fulfill this role. Although it is also supposed to be a driving force for the economy, he added.
Gen. Andrzejczak pointed out that Asia is currently the most important for the US, and there are not enough forces and resources to be everywhere at the same time. – We should not throw up our hands, but do everything to ensure that the ability to receive decisive forces, not only American ones, is as quick and as effective as possible. To win without war, he emphasized.
