Hołownia announces consequences against several PiS MPs. This is about an "assault" on the Sejm

At the press conference, Szymon Hołownia recalled the events that took place before the previous session of the Sejm, when Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik wanted to get into the lower house of the Polish parliament. The Marshal announced possible consequences.

Szymon Hołownia informed that he had received a report from the commander of the Marshal’s Guard. The document concerns the events that took place before the Sejm, when Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik – supported by other PiS politicians – wanted to get into the lower house of the Polish parliament.

– In my opinion, the report submitted by Inspector Sadoń and the identification of the participants in these events leave no doubt. The Marshal’s Guard identified seven PiS MPs who are MPs in an obvious way and this is confirmed by the video material, we watched the material and I saw it too, they grabbed the marshal’s guards, pushed them, in some cases choked the marshal’s guards – said Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing .

The Marshal of the Sejm emphasized that this type of situations should never occur. – And I hope they will not take place in the Sejm again. However, the Sejm must also draw very clear and specific conclusions from such situations, said Szymon Hołownia. He added that, in his opinion, there was a breach of order in the area managed by the Chancellery of the Sejm.

– In my opinion, such a violation occurred (…). The Presidium of the Sejm will decide on the financial penalties that will be imposed on these seven deputies. Personally, I will recommend to the presidium that the maximum possible penalty be imposed, as provided for in the next article of the Sejm’s regulations. This means depriving a deputy of half of his salary or the entire parliamentary allowance for a period of three months, he continued. – I will recommend to the presidium and vote to deprive all seven participants of these incidents of their parliamentary allowance for a period of three months – he concluded. Szymon Hołownia pointed out that these were MPs Siarka, Dziedziczak, Macierewicz, Jacek Bogucki, Gosiewska, Polaczek and Sójka.
