The last few weeks have been very difficult for Iga Świątek. The Pole lost in the 1/8 finals of the US Open, which meant that she lost the WTA ranking leader to Aryna Sabalenka after 75 weeks. If the Raszyn player wants to be the first racket in the world again, she must accumulate points and count on the Belarusian’s stumble.

“Hi! Unfortunately, I have to withdraw from the tournament in Guadalajara due to the tight calendar and its changes. I have to listen to my body and since the season is very intense – our priority as a team is to play it to the end in good health and plan my starts wisely so as not to risk injury. I’m sorry, but I’m sure the tournament will be great. See you in Tokyo,” wrote Iga Świątek on Twitter.

Fans will be able to watch Iga Świątek only during the Pan Pacific Open, a tournament taking place on hard courts in Tokyo, Japan.
