Well, from 2024, the competition in Doha will have a rank of 1000, not 500, as it was before, which means that the winner won twice as many ranking points and earned more. Thanks to her triumph in WTA Doha, Iga Świątek overtook her main rival. Thanks to the increased rank, she gained 530 points, which allowed the Pole to cross the 10,000 mark again. points. Currently, it has 10,300 of them. This turn of events also allowed the first rocket in the world to overtake her main rival – Aryna Sabalenko, who – like last year – did not start in Doha. Thanks to this, the Pole has an advantage of 1,395 points over the Belarusian.

Coco Gauff is in third place, but the gap to her was compensated by the finalist of this year’s WTA Doha edition – Jelena Rybakina. Next are Jessica Pegula, Ons Jabeur, Qinwen Zheng and Marketa Vondrousova. There was only one significant rotation in the top ten. Jelena Ostapenko moved up to ninth place, replacing Maria Sakkari. Karolina Muchova retained tenth place, and the Greek dropped to 11th place.
