Apple unveiled the much-awaited iPhone 15 smartphones at the Wonderlust event. The company’s latest series of phones looks great and will be available in stores soon.

During today’s Apple Wonderlust conference, the American company presented a new hardware offer, with the iPhone 15 phones at the forefront. Have the leaks about the company’s latest smartphones come true?

Premiere of iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus

The live demo started with the iPhone 15, now equipped with Dynamic Island. The special dynamic notification function associated with a specific lozenge-shaped cutout was last year’s hit in Pro versions, and now it has also found its way to cheaper Apple smartphones.

iPhone 15 is equipped with a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 60 Hz. iPhone 15 Plus has a standard larger OLED display with a diagonal of 6.7 inches. The refresh rate here is also up to 60 Hz. The maximum brightness of the screens is 2,000 nits, which is twice as bright as the iPhone 14.

The camera assembly consists of two lenses. The 48MP main unit has a telephoto function with lossless 2x zoom (Apple calls the zoom “optical”, but the smartphone does not have a dedicated telephoto lens). The camera is equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS). The second lens is a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Apple also praises the improved front camera software, thanks to which we can take good selfies even in imperfect light.

The heart of both phones is the A16 Bionic chip using 4nm technology. This is still a good processor, known from the iPhone 14 Pro from 2022. It will reduce the smartphone’s energy consumption by approximately 20 percent. The unit works with 6 GB of RAM, and buyers can choose a version with 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of memory. The phone also offers an eSIM function.

According to the leaks, a USB-C port appeared in all models. Apple announced that it will enable wired charging of accessories from the phone’s battery. The company also intends to release wired headphones with a USB-C connector.

The iPhone 15 price starts at $799. The iPhone 15 Plus will cost $899 and more, depending on memory capacity. Therefore, prices have not changed from 2022. Available colors are: pink, yellow, green, blue and black. Pre-orders start on September 15, and shipping will begin a week later – on September 22.

What can iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max do?

The next devices presented were iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. Initially, Apple focused on a lighter “space-quality” titanium frame and a smaller bezel around the screen. iPhone 15 Pro measures 6.1 inches, and the OLED screen with ProMotion function refreshes at a frequency of up to 120 Hz. iPhone 15 Pro Max is its 6.7-inch equivalent, also with 120 Hz refresh and ProMotion. Both offer Always On Display.

The physical mute switch has disappeared from the Pro line phones and has been replaced with a more general Action button. The user can adjust its function as needed. It can be a shortcut to mute, voice memo recording, camera, flashlight and other system options.

The A17 Pro processor, the first 3nm technology chip on the market, is responsible for the performance of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. The manufacturer is also introducing ray-tracing technology on smartphones for the first time, known from Nvidia PC components. Apple touts that the iPhone 15 Pro will allow you to play console titles on your phone, such as Resident Evil 4 Remake, Death Stranding or the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The phone will have 8 GB of RAM on board. Data is available in 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB (Pro Max does not have a 128 GB version).

The iPhone 15 Pro camera assembly consists of three lenses. The main camera has a 48 MP matrix (with a larger sensor compared to the base iPhone 15) and second-generation IOS optical stabilization. Next we have a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. However, the top iPhone Pro Max has gained a completely new periscope telephoto lens – this one offers a greater optical zoom of up to 5x.

The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max will cost $1,199 for the 256GB version. The colors offered are: black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium and natural titanium. Pre-orders for the devices are scheduled to begin on Friday, September 15. Shipping will start from September 22.
