Is this poll a warning light for Kaczyński and Tusk? Voters gave them a clue

Both Jarosław Kaczyński and Donald Tusk have reached retirement age, which in Poland is 65. The president of PiS is 74 years old, and the leader of the Civic Platform – 66. Therefore, in the latest survey, which was conducted by SW Research for rp.pl, respondents were asked which of these politicians should retire from politics.

43.3 percent respondents chose Jarosław Kaczyński, and 15.4 percent – Donald Tusk. There is also a large group of respondents who believe that both politicians should end their public activity. This answer was chosen by 30.6 percent. respondents. 10.7 percent respondents have no opinion on the matter.

The duel of words with the participation of party leaders became famous in connection with the debate on TVP, which will take place on October 9. Donald Tusk quickly announced that he would take part in the event. In turn, Jarosław Kaczyński announced that he already had a meeting planned for that day in Przysucha. Shortly afterwards, it became clear that PiS would be represented by Mateusz Morawiecki.

Szymon Hołownia will speak on behalf of Third Way, Krzysztof Bosak of Confederation, and Krzysztof Maj of Non-Party Local Government. The New Left was the only one that decided to field a woman. Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus will compete on her behalf.

The survey was conducted by the SW Research research agency among users of the SW Panel online panel on October 3-4. The analysis covered a group of 800 Internet users over 18 years of age. The sample was selected in a random quota manner. The structure of the sample was adjusted using analytical weight to correspond to the structure of Poles over 18 years of age in terms of key characteristics related to the subject of the study. Socio-demographic variables were taken into account when constructing the weight.
