It will be a great volleyball celebration in Łódź! Poles will defend the Nations League gold

The final tournament of the Volleyball Nations League begins on Thursday (June 27). The Polish national team will defend its title at the Atlas Arena in Łódź.

In 2023, the White and Reds won everything there was to win. They started with their first, historic triumph in the Nations League. The VNL final tournament took place in the Tri-City Ergo Arena. The Poles repeated their success from 2012, although at that time it was the World League, the predecessor of the VNL. Hence, the first such success in the new formula, in the final, the team of coach Nikola Grbić beat the Americans.

Nations League: VNL 2024 Final Tournament at Atlas Arena in Łódź

The FIVB has decided that Poland will host the final battle for victory in the Nations League year after year. On the one hand, this is a nod to the organizational skills of the Poles, and on the other… using proven solutions (which does not necessarily affect the development of the discipline in the world). Importantly, in an Olympic year, having the comfort of playing the VNL final tournament at home is a great comfort. In any case, the spectacle at the Atlas Arena in Łódź promises to be delicious.

The Polish national team will play Brazil in the quarterfinals. This will be a repeat of the duel between the two teams from last year, then also at the same stage of the VNL final tournament.
