Kamil Stoch opens up about the end of his career. Extremely eloquent words

The Ski Jumping World Cup starts on November 25. The Polish national team will also include Kamil Stoch, the most successful ski jumper from the White and Red team. The athlete does not hide the fact that he is aware of the passing of time.

Kamil Stoch is a great figure in the history of ski jumping. The jumper’s countless successes include three Olympic champion titles. The Pole won twice in Sochi, Russia (2014), and added another gold medal at the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang (2018).

The Polish champion also won the World Cup twice (2014 and 2018). Together with Piotr Żyła and Dawid Kubacki, Stoch forms an experienced trio who, despite the passage of time, still fight for top positions in individual competitions. Kubacki was counted on for a long time in the fight for winning the general classification last season. Stoch had flashes, but it wasn’t the best campaign for the ski jumper.

– I realize that when a person is older, he thinks in slightly different categories. He knows it won’t last forever. And I even hope that my life will look different. I have no intention of doing this for the rest of my life. I hope that when I finish jumping, my life will look completely different. That I will finally start living – admitted Stoch, quoted by Polsat Sport.

Could this be the last season for the three-time Olympic champion? Much will probably depend on Stoch’s results. The experienced player is extremely ambitious and it is clear that he really wants to attack the top of the World Cup again.

When does the Ski Jumping World Cup start?

As usual, the ski jumping competition will visit many countries during the season. Almost traditionally, it will start in Finland, and then athletes will compete in countries such as Norway, Switzerland, Japan and the USA. This year, like last year, there are no competitions in Russia in the World Cup schedule due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. Compared to the 2022/23 season, Romania was also missing.

The first opportunity to follow the World Cup is the competition in Ruka, Finland. The best competitors will compete there on November 25 and 26. And when will they come to Poland? The first opportunity is January 13-14, a competition in Wisła, as part of the so-called POLISH TOURNAMENT – news on the ski jumping World Cup map.
