Kanye West builds housing estates for the poor and homeless. Inspired by "Star Wars"

Rapper Kanye West is launching his real estate development project called “Yeezy Home.” Architecturally, it is inspired by the appearance of the planet Tatooine, known from the Star Wars saga. The celebrity talked about his ambitious plans in an interview with Forbes magazine.

Star Wars fans don’t need to be reminded that Tatooine is the home of Luke and Anakin Skywalker. It is a desert planet built with simple, small houses with dome-shaped roofs. Kanye West wants the houses built in the Yeezy Home project to be modeled on the architecture typical of this fantastic world. They will be partly underground and entirely made of prefabricated elements. As West assures, they will be intended for the poorest and even the homeless.

There are no photos or designs of the developments announced by West yet. Therefore, all we can do is recall the remains of the film Tatooine, built for the needs of “Star Wars” in Tunisia in the Sahara. Kanye West first announced his Yeezy Home project in May 2018. He then appealed on Twitter to architects and designers who “want to change the world for the better”, offering them cooperation in his extraordinary project.
