After Bartosz Kurek's injury, Łukasz Kaczmarek became the main attacker of the Polish national team last year. The volleyball player performed so well that he won the individual award. However, the winner of the Champions League with Grupa Azoty ZAKSĄ Kędzierzyn-Koźle cannot count the current club season as a success. Now the circumstances of his mysterious disappearance have come to light.
Łukasz Kaczmarek's agent talked about the volleyball player's health condition
Kaczmarek last appeared on the PlusLiga court on February 16. He then played in the match against Enea Czarni Radom. After that time, he disappeared, and the club did not inform the media about the reasons for his absence. The player returned to training last Thursday. On the same day, ZAKSA announced in a statement that the player's absence was due to health problems. However, the information did not reveal what they concerned.
Jakub Michalak shed new light on the matter. The man is Kaczmarek's agent. He gave an interview to Przegląd Sportowy Onet, in which he revealed that the volleyball player was struggling with depression. He couldn't train, so he stopped training and began treatment. Michalak emphasized that he provided the information with the express consent of the player.
– Łukasz has been struggling with depression for some time. At some point he hit a wall and was unable to continue regular training or simply function normally. Therefore, we were forced to seek help from specialists. They gave the green light for him to return to training while recovering, said the Polish representative's agent.

Michalak added that Kaczmarek is already with the team, but it is not known whether he will play in the next match. Nikola Grbic also knows about the whole situation. The Polish representative wants to continue playing in the national team, especially since the White and Reds will play at the Olympic Games this season.
