The mold is as fascinating as it is disgusting. Therefore, if you are going to eat something else today, maybe you can postpone watching the video below until later. However, it is worth seeing them because it was made in exceptionally good quality.
In recent years, we have written about plenia many times, but we have probably never had such a close-up and such good quality on the recording. The State Forests on one of their Facebook profiles posted a video where we can observe this unusual phenomenon up close.
Forester Roman from the Baligród Forest District showed the mold up close. His recording is gaining new views at a rapid pace and it is hardly surprising. We haven’t seen such a colorful and detailed material with weed yet.
Plen – what is it?
As the TPN reminds, the mold is a group of larvae of the sandfly species crawling together. “You’re probably wondering, what is this strange creature? The mold was also sometimes the object of magical treatments. Tatra highlanders collected it, dried it, blessed it and scattered it in barns and stables, where it was supposed to ensure prosperity.
