Palikota company with a lifeline from creditors and investors. There is a chance to survive

Manufaktura Wódki, Piwa i Wina has a chance to resurface: the company is implementing a restructuring plan and will lease an organized part of the Browar Tenczynek enterprise to “Craftowe Alkoholi” by Marek Maślanka. The creditors accepted the proposed arrangement.

The debts of Janusz Palikot’s holding exceeded PLN 175 million. The businessman is trying to save the Vodka, Beer and Wine Manufaktura, but currently it has no money even to pay its employees their outstanding salaries – Palikot himself admitted this in a recording he published online a few days ago. He promised that as soon as capital from new investors arrives, settling these arrears will be treated as a priority.

Palikot assures that he did not intentionally put the company in debt

He responded to the accusation that he deliberately caused a crisis in the company. The businessman directly called these insinuations absurd, because no one “would like to find themselves in a situation where they have a mortgaged house, where they live with their family and leased cars (…) This thesis is completely untrue.”

– I risked all my wealth. I left the houses I have, I sold real estate and movables (…) I am the largest creditor of Manufaktura for PLN 26 million. There is no one who has invested more funds in this company than me, Janusz Palikot. I may never get this money back (…). I have not received any remuneration for a year, just like the other members of the management board, and of course soon I will have problems with living at the same level, because how much can I pay extra – said the former politician of the Civic Platform.

Palikot also surprised by stating that regardless of the existing problems, in his opinion Manufaktura can achieve a similar success to that celebrated by Polmos in the past. The businessman stated that after obtaining capital from investors, the company would be able to achieve PLN 200 million in annual revenue, and then even PLN 300 million.

Manufaktura Wódki, Piwa i Wina: creditors accepted the proposed arrangement

There is a chance to save the company. The creditors accepted the proposed arrangement. 425 creditors with an amount of almost PLN 117 million voted in favor of acceptance. Only 21 creditors with an amount of approximately PLN 4 million were against it.

What’s next? The company is implementing the presented restructuring plan and will lease an organized part of the Browar Tenczynek enterprise to “Kraftowe Alkoholi” by Marek Maślanka, one of the key investors of MPWiW, which should guarantee a return of up to 100%. invested capital. This is to enable the repayment of all arrears owed to employees and ensure security of production and supplies for many months.
