In 2024, Law and Justice will pay the Lux Veritatis Foundation PLN 369,000. The subject of the contract is the broadcast of holy masses.

TVN24 learned that this year Law and Justice intends to generously support the Lux Veritatis foundation financially. PLN 369,000 will be transferred to her account for live broadcasts of Holy Masses. The agreement with the foundation regarding the broadcasting of services was signed in March 2015 and is to be valid until the end of this year. At the beginning of this month, an annex to the contract was signed, which was concluded under negotiated procedure.

The last year of support from PiS for Rydzyk’s father?

From the annex you can learn that in the first half of 2024, PiS will donate PLN 24,600 per month to the foundation of a famous Redemptorist. In the second half of the year, this rate will increase to PLN 36,900 per month. Therefore, the Lux Veritatis foundation will receive a total of PLN 369,000. However, it is not known whether the contract will be extended for subsequent years.

On Telewizja Trwam, holy masses from the chapel of the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Częstochowa are shown every day from Monday to Saturday at 1:30 p.m., and on Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

At the end of the year, the media reported generous transfers from the state budget that went to the account of a Redemptorist from Toruń during the eight years of PiS rule. One of the most generously subsidized projects was the “Memory and Identity” Museum in Toruń, which is one of Father Rydzyk’s works. The museum, which opened only in October 2023, was to receive approximately PLN 224 million from public funds.

Individual ministries were eager to get involved in promoting Father Rydzyk’s activities. The Ministry of Finance spent PLN 300,000. PLN for the campaign on tax changes, and the Ministry of Health allocated nearly PLN 400,000. PLN to promote the “I’m planning a long life” program.

On January 16, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz, announced that he had refused to secure additional funds for 2024 in the amount of over PLN 13 million for the construction of the headquarters and permanent exhibition of the “Memory and Identity” Museum.
