Polish volleyball players successfully started their Olympic qualifications

At the inauguration of this tournament, our volleyball players played against the Belgian national team. One could have expected a relatively easy crossing, but the reality turned out to be different. The White and Reds made a lot of mistakes and had problems in attack. Nikola Grbic’s players lost the first set 23:25, but won the next two sets by twenty and sixteen. When it seemed that everything was going in the right direction, the rivals went to a tie-break, in which they even had the match ball. Fortunately, they did not use it and our volleyball players triumphed 17:15.

In the second match, Polish volleyball players will face Bulgaria. This clash is scheduled for Sunday, October 1 at 10:00 a.m. Polish time. The live broadcast of this match will be available on Polsat sports channels and TVP Sport. After this match, the White and Reds will have a day off.

Group C table in the Olympic qualifying games

In the group phase, teams will play their matches in a round-robin format. The two best teams from each group will advance, and the order is determined first by the number of matches won, and then by points, set balance, small points and direct clashes.

Ultimately, 12 teams will appear at the 2024 Olympics – six from the qualifiers and the hosts – the French. The remaining teams that do not qualify this year will have a chance to participate in the championship based on the FIVB ranking after the 2024 Nations League tournament. Priority will be given to teams from continents that will not have representatives, and only then will the best teams in the ranking that remain without promotion.
