Ranking of the 100 richest Poles. That's all you need to be on the list

This year’s edition of the 100 Richest Poles ranking will be released on June 24. Szymon Krawiec, managing editor of Wprost, lifts the veil of secrecy and reveals how much you have to have to be on such a list.

This year’s ranking of the 100 Richest Poles will be published at the beginning of next week. To be included on the list, you had to accumulate assets worth at least PLN 720 million. – This was the result of the hero who took the last, hundredth place. This entry threshold increases every year, last year it was PLN 625 million, and I remember the times, not so distant, when it was enough to have PLN 300-400 million. I suspect that in a year or two years we will have practically only billionaires on this list – said Szymon Krawiec, managing editor of Wprost and author of the ranking.

Changes in the ranking

The list of the richest people changes every year. New rich people appear on it, and some fortunes shrink dramatically. This year in the ranking of the richest we have as many as 13 debuts and 4 returns.

– There are also many changes on the podium and in the top ten. There are big changes, relegations and promotions, I think this year will be very interesting – said Szymon Krawiec.

100 Richest Poles

The Wprost weekly has published the list of the 100 richest Poles every year since 1990. In last year’s edition, for the third time in a row, Tomasz Biernacki, the owner of the Dino store chain, topped the list, who in 2022 increased his wealth by as much as PLN 10 billion. Michał Sołowow took second place, despite the crisis and the need to sell the Russian part of his business, and Jerzy Starak, the owner of Polpharma, took third place.

This year’s ranking of the 100 Richest Poles will be available on the Wprost.pl website, in the electronic edition of the Wprost weekly, and, for the first time in 4 years, in printed form. The special edition of the Wprost weekly will hit newsstands on June 24.
