In the second half, he equalized the score, converting a penalty kick. Ultimately, this resulted in a draw, which was positively received by the fans. After all, the vice-champions of the world were running on the other side.

The captain of the Polish team probably did not know that the penalty goal scored among a small group of players. As Wojciech Papuga announced on Twitter, the Pole became the third player in the history of the European Championship to score a goal at the fourth European Championship. Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo can also boast of a similar feat.

The card decided about promotion from the Euro 2024 group

A lot could have happened in Group C. Although the top four had a great favorite in the form of the English, they did not play as the fans expected. However, the achievement of five points gave them first place. The second place was taken by the Danes and the third by the Slovenians. Both teams finished the group stage with the same number of points, goals scored and conceded.

According to the entry of the AbsurdDB profile on Twitter, the factor that gave the Danes second place at the expense of Slovenia was a card for Milivoje Novakovic, a member of the Slovenian staff. UEFA did not initially inform about it, which sparked theories that Denmark’s advancement was due to an additional goal scored in the EURO qualifiers.

The Dutch surprised everyone again

The Dutch unexpectedly lost points in the match with Austria. As a result, they took third place in the “Polish” group and must wait for the results in other matches. Ralf Rangnick’s team surprised the Orange, who could count on fantastic support from their fans.
