Ryanair has published a list of the 5 most popular destinations chosen by Polish travelers in 2023. These destinations enjoyed the greatest interest, attracting both culture lovers and nature enthusiasts.

London took first place, which will not surprise anyone. This is where Poles fly both for city breaks and to work or school. It has a lot to offer tourists.

London is a city that needs no introduction – a melting pot of culture, cuisine, art and history. The capital of England is an international center offering more monuments and attractions than you can imagine. Flying to London offers countless attractions, from iconic landmarks to niche entertainment. There really is something for everyone in London, from top galleries, theaters, gigantic sporting events and world-class shopping.

Dublin came in second place. The capital of Ireland is an extraordinary mix of various attractions and historical monuments. Although the weather in Dublin is often described as “changeable”, even rain cannot dampen the joy of the thousands of tourists who flock to Dublin each year to celebrate holidays such as St. Patrick’s Day. In autumn, the city becomes an Instagram paradise, and parks and public spaces turn into colorful lands full of red, brown and gold. In summer, when there are many beautiful, sunny days in Dublin, it is worth taking a walk around the city.

In the third place we have a British city again – this time Manchester. It combines modernity with industrial heritage. A wide range of museums, shops, restaurants and the unique atmosphere of Old Trafford and City of Manchester Stadium make it a place where everyone will find something for themselves.

Not just London, Dublin and Manchester

What other cities did Poles appreciate? Bergamo came in fourth place. This picturesque, atmospheric city delights with its charming streets, including the old town, which is surrounded by beautiful mountains and landscapes. In the city itself, you can find monuments such as the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the city tower. Bergamo is therefore a perfect place for culture lovers and gourmets of Italian cuisine.

Scotland’s Edinburgh completed the magic five. It is a unique city that attracts many Polish travelers every year. A picturesque landscape overlooking Edinburgh Castle and Arthur’s Seat Hill. Moreover, this place exudes history, culture and a unique atmosphere that will enchant every visitor.

“It is extremely nice to see Polish travelers discovering the diversity of European destinations more and more boldly. In 2023, the most frequently chosen destinations were London-Stansted, Dublin, Manchester, Bergamo and Edinburgh. These are not only places full of culture and history, but also offer unique experiences for travelers with different interests and preferences. We cordially encourage you to continue your journey with Ryanair and discover more fascinating places on the map of Europe,” Alicja Wójcik-Gołębiowska, Country Manager CEE & Baltics at Ryanair, summed up this list.
