Samsung Galaxy S24 – why is it worth choosing this device?

This is what’s happening! Sales of the Galaxy S24 series will start in full swing soon. The latest smartphone model from Samsung will be presented at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event in San Jose (USA) on January 17, 2024. Meanwhile, we already know the prices, specifications and appearance of the new flagships from the Korean giant. So, is it worth buying a Galaxy S24 series phone? We give you a hint.

Why is Samsung Galaxy S24 a good choice?

We will start with information that has fired up the imagination of all lovers of technological innovations and will certainly not be indifferent to potential users of the new smartphones of the hit series. Reports from industry sources have appeared online, indicating that the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra will offer future users support for up to seven years. For comparison, it should be noted that so far Samsung has provided five years of updates in its smartphones. What else do we know about the Samsung Galaxy S24 series?

As in the previous year, there are three variants of this device, with different diagonals and display sizes. The basic one will be, of course S24. The smartphone will be available in the following versions: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S24+, higher in the portfolio, promises to be much more interesting, as it will offer a QHD screen, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB of internal memory as standard, and faster charging. The best variant of this family – Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra – will be available in a version with 12 GB RAM and 256/512/1024 GB.

Importantly, each of these models offers LTPO screens, i.e. screens made of low-temperature polycrystalline oxide, which enable a smoother change in refresh rate depending on the content displayed on the screen. The use of an LTPO display should extend the time battery life, thanks to better energy management and appropriate frequency matching to the content displayed on the screen. And it’s probably everyone’s dream to charge the phone as rarely as possible.

All Galaxy S24 series smartphones will receive flat Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with an image refresh function with a frequency of 1 to 120 Hz and support for HDR10 + and Always On Display mode. In the Galaxy S24 it will have a diagonal of 6.2 inches and Full HD+ resolution, in the Galaxy S24+ 6.7 inches and WQHD+, and in the Galaxy S24 Ultra – 6.8 inches and WQHD+.

The basic color variants of the Galaxy S24 Ultra include four colors: gray, black, purple and yellow. The design of top Samsung phones will not differ much from their predecessors – Galaxy S23. The new phones are supposed to have sharper edges, a The Galaxy S24 Ultra may be made of titanium. All three models will have an IP68 protection rating and will be equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Armor.

Samsung Galaxy S24 will offer AI services

The Korean manufacturer’s new smartphones are expected to be the smartest on the market. Both the Ultra S24 and the basic S24 models feature artificial intelligence. The manufacturer explains that it is intended to facilitate everyday matters, from communication to creative freedom. What does this mean in practice? For example, it will make it easier for us to edit photos (moving objects from one photo to another and extending photos beyond the frame), will allow us to precisely translate conversations in real time, or will change text into images. Galaxy AI services were developed by Samsung with the help of third-party companies and will take advantage of the capabilities provided by the latest chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Samsung’s flagship device will be integrated with both ChatGPT and Google Bard, two of the most developed and advanced language models currently available on the market.

Many of us chooses smartphone with quality in mind camera. What can we count on in the new, flagship models of the Korean manufacturer? According to the information, the main camera in all models will offer the ability to record in 8K at 30 frames per second. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the quality of night shots will improve. The Samsung S24 and S24+ models have three cameras on the back, and the most important one will have 50 Mpix and will also have a 30x digital zoom. The most impressive thing is the camera available in the S24 Ultra, which will have as much as 200 Mpix (in the case of the main camera, which will be accompanied by 3 additional ones). The best model of the upcoming three will also offer up to 100x digital zoom, which Samsun will call “Space Zoom”. It will be a combination of 10x optical magnification and digital zoom, which is unheard of in phones.

The Galaxy S24 is expected to be equipped with a 4,000mAh battery with 25W charging, S24+ a 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging, and S24 Ultra will maintain the 5,000mAh battery capacity of its predecessor, also with 45W charging. All devices will have access to Samsung Knox security, Smart Keyboard and a dynamic lock screen.

How much will the Galaxy S24 series smartphones cost?

The news from Korea is good, Samsung does not intend to go crazy with the prices of new flagships, which is to encourage potential buyers to buy them. The Samsung Galaxy S24 will start at $799. Greater Samsung Galaxy S24+ will be priced at $999. We will have to spend more on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, from $1,199.
