There was a serious accident involving a tractor in one of the villages in the Kalinowo commune. A heavy agricultural machine crushed a 12-year-old boy.
On Sunday, August 13, the farmer’s 12-year-old son got into a tractor left on the pasture without his parents’ knowledge. The boy then drove his father’s vehicle and drove it onto a dirt road. However, he did not control the tractor and drove into the ditch. He was also crushed by the overturning machine.

All this took place in the Kalinowo commune near Ełk in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. An air ambulance arrived to pick up the injured boy. The injured man was taken to a hospital in Suwałki, but his condition was not disclosed to journalists.
The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident described above. It has already been established that the boy’s mother was sober and his father had less than the legal limit of alcohol in his blood. Three fire brigades from Ełk and volunteer firefighters from Kalinów, Pisanica and Chełchów were sent to pull the tractor out of the ditch.
