Polish construction has accelerated. “Compared to August 2023, an increase in production was observed in all construction sectors,” informs the Central Statistical Office. There is a lot of traffic not only in the construction of apartment blocks, but also in the construction of roads.

Central Statistical Office: big growth in the construction industry
The Central Statistical Office data concerns orders completed in Poland by construction companies employing more than 9 people in September 2023. A more detailed breakdown shows that an increase in production was recorded by companies specializing in the construction of civil engineering facilities – by 17.9%, carrying out work specialized construction – by 10.0 percent and those engaged in the construction of buildings – by 3.9%.

A lot is happening not only on the sites of developers, who have accelerated their investments thanks to government subsidies for loans. The pre-election period was also conducive to accelerating the construction of roads, viaducts and bridges, because the completion of the work gave politicians the opportunity to symbolically cut the ribbon and emphasize how much they were doing for the local community.
Number of permits in September 2023
