"The fat cats of old finance are already more open to crypto"

Does the cryptocurrency market require more regulation?

  • “It depends where” – replies Przemysław Kral, CEO of Zondacrypto. “Europe is becoming very regulated and in some way limits the development of the cryptocurrency business, but on the other hand, it is good that there is regulation because it forces member states to recognize that crypto exists at all. However, EU regulations are much more restrictive than global ones, e.g. in Asia and the United Arab Emirates. Overregulation is not good for the market, but neither is the lack of regulation, because it allows for arbitrariness and lack of security.”
  • “So it's hard to find a happy medium. In Poland, unfortunately, no attempt is made to find it, but the screws are tightened so that no one wants to apply for a license. And Poland is a country of people open to crypto, who will probably go to other countries where regulation will be less oppressive.”
  • Despite this, the crypto market is developing very dynamically, also in Poland. – “Even the world of traditional finance is already winking, starting to invest, the fat cats of old finance are already more open to crypto” – says.
