August 14 is the last day of the so-called. a small agricultural register. Pollsters will contact the selected farmers today. Participation in the study is mandatory.

The Central Statistical Office (GUS) reminds you that today is the last day to take part in the so-called small agricultural register. – From June 1 to August 14, 2023, a study will be carried out throughout Poland: Integrated statistics on agricultural holdings, R-SGR form and Survey of pig population and live pig production, R-ZW-S form – we read in the statement of the Central Statistical Office.

For the purposes of the research, interviews are conducted (by telephone or face-to-face). Farmers selected to participate in the research received a letter from the President of the Central Statistical Office. A selected farm is obliged to participate in a given survey. Pollsters will contact the selected farmers on Monday.

Until June 16, farmers could make a self-census by filling in the form available on the website researcharolne2023.stat.gov.pl.

According to the data of the Central Statistical Office, 130,000 farms participate in the “Integrated farm statistics” survey. Including the survey of pig stock and live pig production, 145,000 farms are surveyed.

Purpose of research

The purpose of the research is to provide information on the structure of farms for the needs of the Common Agricultural Policy and other EU and national policies, as well as to obtain information on the pig stock and live pig production in a given reporting period. In this way, the Central Statistical Office also collects data on quarterly purchase and lease prices of agricultural land.

The scope of information collected in the “Integrated farm statistics” survey includes: land use, orchards, sown areas, cultivation methods, irrigation, livestock, fertilization, plant protection, tractors, agricultural machinery and equipment, economic activity, household income structure with user individual farm, economic activity.

The Central Statistical Office emphasizes that agricultural surveys cover the actual users of a farm, regardless of whether they are owners or tenants of farms or use them for some other reason, and regardless of whether the land constituting a farm is located in one or several municipalities.
