Marco Reus is undoubtedly a Borussia Dortmund legend. The player is a graduate of this club, who trained there in the years 1995-2005. At some point he decided to leave, first to the youth team of Rot Weiss Ahlen, and when he broke into the first team, in 2009 he joined Borussia M'gladbach.

After three years, he returned to Borussia Dortmund as a full-fledged player. Since 2012, he has achieved a lot with this club – he won the German championship and reached the final of the Champions League. After twelve years, the 34-year-old decided that his adventure with BVB would come to an end.

In the club media, the head of BVB, Hans-Joachim Watzke, praised the player's contribution to the development of Borussia Dortmund. – Marco Reus is one of the best players at this club. He was born in Dortmund, played in our youth team for almost ten years, played in the professional team for twelve years and was the captain of our team for a long time. His relationship with Borussia Dortmund is extraordinary, he said.

I have spent more than half of my life here and I enjoy every day, although of course there were also difficult moments. I already know that it will be difficult for me to say goodbye to the team at the end of the season, he said

– Nevertheless, I am glad that now we have a clear situation and that we can fully focus on the very important final matches that are still ahead of us. We have an important goal ahead of us that we all want to achieve together. For this we will need each and every one of our incredible fans, whom I would like to thank sincerely for their support over the years,” he concluded.
