Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia admonished PiS MPs joking in the Sejm benches. – Because you may also have a problem with the sound system… – he said.
During the 11th session of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia pointed out that the MPs were joking about the sound system. However, the Sejm broadcast does not include the statement heard by the Speaker of the Sejm.
– Don't tempt or mock, because you may also have problems with the sound system. Whether it's while reciting or singing, Hołownia ironized.
Problems with the sound system during Firefighter's Day celebrations
In this way, he referred to the scandal involving the speech of Minister Marcin Kierwiński. Due to his strange-sounding statement during the Central Firefighter's Day Celebration, opposition politicians began to accuse him of being under the influence of alcohol.
The minister firmly rejected the slander and presented the results of his breathalyzer test.
An announcement regarding the implementation of the sound system during the Central Firefighter's Day Celebration in Warsaw was issued by the Headquarters of the State Fire Service. “In connection with the organization of the Central Firefighter's Day Celebration on May 4, 2024 at Marshal Józef Piłsudski Square in Warsaw, the State Fire Service Headquarters asked for explanations regarding problems with the sound system from the company servicing the ceremony,” it was emphasized in the introduction.
Less than a month ago, a loud party with the participation of MPs took place in the Sejm hotel, and this atmosphere was also present during the Sejm sessions.
On April 12, an MP from the Civic Coalition spoke about dismissing members of the Commission for the reprivatization of Warsaw real estate. He was quickly interrupted by members of parliament who sang “happy birthday”.
– Listen, after the recent speeches in the parliamentary hotel, but also after what is heard in this chamber, I will submit a formal application to the Presidium of the Sejm to establish a choir of the high chamber – joked Szymon Hołownia in response to this surprising behavior.
