The plane with over a hundred passengers could not land. A dog was waiting on the tarmac

A stray animal found itself in the middle of a huge airport. Those on board were furious that they could not land on time.

The Vistara flight to Goa airport was scheduled to land on time. There was no indication that the crew would encounter any problems on site. A stray dog was found on the airport runway, instead of free space for a safe landing.

A stray dog ruined the passengers’ plans

Some airlines allow you to fly with your pet. However, a pet on the airport tarmac is not desirable. The crew of flight UK 881 found this out and instead of landing in Goa as planned, they were forced to return. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon. The plane took off from the airport in Bengaluru in the southern part of India as scheduled at 12:45 p.m. to arrive at the international airport in Goa at 2:05 p.m. local time. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected problem at the airport, the landing took place only after a few hours. There was a dog on the airplane runway. The flight took off again from Bengaluru at 4.55 p.m. and reached Goa at 6.15 p.m.

“The tower asked the pilot to delay his descent by circling the airport. However, he preferred to return to Bengaluru,” said Goa airport director Dhanamjaya Rao. Although the problem of stray dogs is a big problem in India, a similar situation has not happened before at the airport. “This is the first such incident in my one-and-a-half-year term,” claims Dhanamjaya Rao.

The passengers were furious

The tourists on board did not care about the animal’s fate. Indian media reported that passengers were not happy to reach Goa after a four-hour delay and blamed the incident on the airline’s unprofessional actions. Two other flights operated by the IndieGO airline landed at the airport without incident, around the same time as the Vistara flight. The airline’s customers believe that the pilot should, based on the air traffic controller’s instructions, wait for a better landing time instead of returning to the departure airport.
