Mariusz Kamiński is in the Remand Center in Radom. A recording of his “welcome” by prisoners appeared online. The authenticity of the film was confirmed by the Prison Service and commented on by PiS MPs.

On Wednesday, January 10, Mariusz Kamiński was transferred from the Warsaw-Grochów Remand Center to the penitentiary facility in Radom. A recording of his “welcome” at the facility was published on social media, in which vulgar shouts from other prisoners can be heard.

The Prison Service confirmed the authenticity of the film. “The personal safety of the person to whom the shouts of other convicts staying in the Radom Remand Center were directed was and still is ensured,” the formation’s press team told the o2.pl portal.

It was also reported that applications for disciplinary penalties were submitted to people who committed prohibited behavior. “The Prison Service is obliged to take all actions to ensure the personal safety of each inmate,” it was emphasized in a statement sent to Polsat News.

PiS MPs react to the recording

Law and Justice politicians reacted to the recording. Jacek Sasin, in an entry published on X (formerly Twitter), addressed directly to Donald Tusk, Adam Bodnar, Szymon Hołownia and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. “You have beautiful allies (…) The clips for our local government campaign are spinning on their own,” he wrote.

Regarding the film, Radosław Fogiel shared a screenshot from the website of the National Electoral Commission on social media. The graphic shows the percentage of votes cast for the Civic Coalition at the Radom office during the last parliamentary elections. “No wonder,” he commented.

In December last year, Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik were sentenced by a final judgment of the District Court in Warsaw to two years of imprisonment. On Tuesday, January 9, PiS politicians were detained and arrested. Two days later, President Andrzej Duda announced that the procedure for pardoning them had begun.
