Szymon Hołownia initiated the procedure to fill the seat left by Mariusz Kamiński. In the case of Maciej Wąsik, the activities were suspended. – It is not my fault – emphasized the Speaker of the Sejm.

The case of Kamiński and Wąsik
In December last year, Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik were sentenced to two years in prison. On Tuesday, January 9, police officers detained them on the premises of the Presidential Palace and took them to the Warsaw-Grochów Detention Center. A day later, the former head of the secret services was sent to a penitentiary facility in Radom, and his deputy was sent to a facility near Ostrołęka.
On Thursday, January 11, Andrzej Duda announced the start of the procedure re-pardon both politicians. – Ladies (wives of former MPs – ed.) came to ask me to secure their release.
