The summer timetable of PKP will start soon. From June 9, there will be many more connections

At the end of May, very good news comes for tourists. If you have recently complained about too few trains or connections and you were unable to buy a ticket at the last minute due to high turnout, you will immediately notice the difference. The new timetable comes into force on June 9. Traveling will become easier and even faster.

PKP introduces a new timetable for the summer

PKP Intercity is increasing the number of holiday connections and announces that this season it will run an average of 454 trains every day. This is to allow travelers to comfortably reach popular holiday resorts by the sea and in the mountains, as these are the most popular.

It is already known that in 2 hours and 25 minutes we will get from Warsaw to Gdańsk, and a total of over 58 pairs of trains will run to the Tricity per day. Szczecin will be served by 22 pairs of connections, Kołobrzeg – 14, Świnoujście – 8, and Hel – 6. There are also special trains, e.g. EIC 1850/8150 Posejdon from Warsaw – Kołobrzeg – Warsaw, EIC 1540/5140 Jantar from Warsaw – Hel – Warsaw, TLK 38174/83174 Wolin from Kraków/Bielsko-Biała – Świnoujście – Kraków/Bielsko-Biała or IC 18154/81154 Lazur from Łódź to Ustka. In addition, the connections of some trains going to the sea will be extended, e.g. the IC 3828/8328 Grottger train currently running on the Przemyśl – Wrocław – Przemyśl section will run from Kołobrzeg on Sundays.

There are going to be many more changes. PKP announced, among others: additional connections to Krakow and Zakopane. In summer, over 70 pairs of long-distance connections will run to/from Krakow. Bielsko-Biała will be served by 12 pairs of trains, Zakopane – 8, Jelenia Góra – 8, Szklarska Poręba – 3, Kłodzko – 4, and Krynica-Zdrój – 3. PKP Intercity will also launch special seasonal connections, e.g. train IC 83192/38192 Podhalanin from Szczecin – Zakopane – Szczecin. There will be plenty to choose from, and the full list of scheduled timetables can be found on the carrier's website.

PKP connections for the summer. More trains than a year ago

PKP notices a great interest in traveling by train, which is why it announced that in 2024 there will be 31 pairs of long-distance connections more than in the last holiday season. The list will not include record-fast connections and additional trains that could not be found in spring or winter.

PKP Intercity announces that it will run additional trains, especially during periods of increased passenger traffic. The company aims to ensure comfortable travel for travelers going, among others, to: for the European Football Championship – Euro 2024, summer festivals or the August long weekend. Everything is also to be adapted to the modernization of railway infrastructure. It is known, among others, that from June 9, the capacity of the Warszawa Centralna station and the cross-city line in the Warsaw agglomeration: Warszawa Centralna – Warszawa Zachodnia will be restored.

Additionally, lost travelers will benefit from assistance. During the period of introducing summer timetable adjustments, passengers at the largest stations in Poland will have the so-called mobile informants.
