This is how much the 14th pension will be. The government has decided

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki signed the regulation of the Council of Ministers on the amount and date of payment of the 14th pension.

The 14th pension this year, according to Jarosław Kaczyński’s earlier declaration, will amount to PLN 2,200 net, i.e. PLN 2,650 gross. This amount will be awarded to people whose regular benefit does not exceed PLN 2,900 gross. In the case of the remaining funds, the “PLN for PLN” mechanism will be used. Payments of the additional benefit will start in September. “Exercising the above statutory authorization, the Council of Ministers proposes that in 2023 an amount higher than the amount of the lowest pension referred to in Art. 3 section 1 of the Act of May 26, 2023 on another additional annual cash benefit for retirees and disability pensioners, used to determine the amount of the additional benefit was PLN 2,650.00,” reads the press release from the Ministry of Family.

14. higher pension

– Recently, together with the president, we shared the good news that the 14th pension will be a permanent benefit. Today I have two more good news for all our seniors. We decided to start the payouts in the first half of September, and the amount was about PLN 1,000 more than before. This is extremely important for seniors, said Mateusz Morawiecki.

As Morawiecki said, the PiS government found money for additional benefits thanks to the tightening of VAT. He also referred to the question he plans to ask Poles in the referendum, which is to be organized together with the next parliamentary elections. It concerns the increase in the retirement age.

– Retirement age, ZUS rates. This is what Donald Tusk raised – said Morawiecki and called on seniors to “beware of Tusk’s liberals.”

14. retirement in a new way

Let us remind you that in accordance with the Act, the amount and date of payment of the “fourteenth pension” is determined annually by a regulation of the Council of Ministers by October 31.

From this year, the additional benefit is granted to retirees permanently. Previously, it was a one-time payment, paid in the amount of the lowest pension to those who did not exceed the income threshold.

Currently, PLN 2,900 is the monthly income that entitles you to the 14th pension. After exceeding this amount, the benefit is reduced in accordance with the “one zloty for one zloty” principle. The Act assumes that if the amount of the “fourteenth pension” after reduction is less than PLN 50, the benefit will not be granted.
