The study on the perfect place for a holiday for two was conducted by the Slingo brand. It is a gaming company. The brand has created a list of the best places for a honeymoon and took into account cities, smaller towns and islands that will work well in such a context.
Slingo analyzed each of these places in terms of appropriate keywords, but also in terms of restaurants recommended on TripAdvisor and activities for couples.
The team also took into account the number of posts from each location on TikTok and Instagram, and the average cost of a three-course meal for two at a mid-range restaurant. After collecting all this data, it gave each location a score from 1 to 10.
The study shows that the best place for a trip for two is Bali, Indonesia.
Bali is perfect for couples
“Over the last 12 months, Bali was searched for honeymoons 278,100 times globally on Google, more than any other destination,” the team noted in its findings, adding that Bali received an overall rating of 8.07. “It was also ranked fifth most popular on TikTok and Instagram, with #Bali having 4.7 million posts in the former and 71.7 million in the latter.”
Bali also earned high ratings thanks to its affordability. The average cost of a three-course meal for two at a mid-range restaurant was just $22.17.
Bali was joined on the list by Santorini, Greece, which took the No. 2 spot and received high marks for being home to the most romantic restaurants of any location, followed by Cancun, Mexico; Venice; and Majorca in Spain. The ever-romantic Paris ranks sixth, followed by Dubai, Positano, Rome and Marrakech rounding out the top ten.
