On the same day, UEFA officially announced that the regulations of the European Football Championship competitions had been changed. “The UEFA Executive Committee today decided to increase the maximum squad of teams participating in the upcoming UEFA European Football Championship EURO 2024 from the original limit of 23 to 26 players,” UEFA says in a statement.

The path of the Polish national team to Euro 2024

The Polish national team, which advanced to this tournament through the play-offs, will play at Euro 2024. Let us remind you that our players did not perform well in the qualifying group and finished in third place behind Albania and the Czech Republic, which were directly promoted.

Despite this, Michał Probierz's players could still fight for promotion in the play-offs. In the semi-final we faced Estonia, which we defeated 5-1, and in the final we eliminated Wales on penalties.

At the 2024 European Championships, which will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, the Polish national team will face the Netherlands, France and Austria in group D. Just before the European Championships, the Polish national team will play two tests. PZPN has planned friendly matches with Ukraine (June 7) and Turkey (June 10). Both meetings will be held at PGE Narodowy.
