Ukraine received support from the World Bank.  The money will go, among others:  for benefits

Ukraine received $1.34 billion from the World Bank, the local Ministry of Finance announced. The money will be used to cover non-defense-related expenses of the Ukrainian budget. This includes: for pension payments.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance announced that the country received $1.34 billion from the World Bank. According to the Ukrainian agency unian.ua, the financing includes a loan from the World Bank in the amount of $1.086 billion, which was granted through a trust fund to provide Ukraine with the necessary credit support under the guarantee of the Japanese government.

Support for Ukraine. Money, among others for retirement

In addition, specific financing includes a grant element:

  • from Norway through the Target Fund for Support, Reconstruction, Reconstruction and Reform of Ukraine – USD 190 million;

  • from the US government – ​​$50 million;

  • from the Swiss government – ​​$20 million.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Finance points out that the money will be used to cover non-defense-related expenses of the Ukrainian budget, such as pension payments and salaries for emergency services employees.

– International financial support makes an important contribution to maintaining Ukraine’s financial and economic stability and allows us to cover major social expenses during the war – emphasized Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko.

The agency reminds that at the end of last week Ukraine received EUR 1.5 billion in macro-financial assistance from the European Union. This is the last tranche of this year’s macro-financial assistance from Brussels.

Next year – according to the agency – Ukraine is to receive more support from Great Britain than in 2022-2023. This declaration was made by David Cameron, the new Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Prime Minister of Great Britain.
