After just two rounds of the group stage of the European Championship, it is clear that the Polish national team will not be among the best sixteen teams of the tournament. Before the start of Euro 2024, many experts predicted that the Polish national team would finish last in Group D. While there were moments of good play in the matches against the Netherlands and Austria, both of these matches ended in defeats. We are talking about the results 1:2 and 1:3, respectively.
Poland’s squad for the match against France
As in several tournaments in the 21st century, the last match of the Polish national team in the group will be a clash for honour. It may be terribly difficult to get points, because Michał Probierz’s team will face France. The three-coloured team may not be impressive at the tournament in Germany so far, but it must be admitted that they have great players who can fire up at any moment. It is worth noting here that France have not conceded a single goal so far.
It has been known for some time that Wojciech Szczęsny will not play against France. In addition, coach Probierz has made several rotations compared to the previous match. From the first minute on the pitch we will see, among others, Robert Lewandowski, Kacper Urbański, and Sebastian Szymański.
