Zero unemployment, the country is thriving, sanctions do not bother us. This is how the success of Russia's war economy is fabricated

The Kremlin is going to great lengths to prove that there is no greater happiness than war for Russia's prosperity. Twisting data for propaganda purposes is intended to convince the West that sanctions are harming everyone but Moscow, when in fact it is exactly the opposite.

The flood of news proving that Russia is flourishing, not despite but because of the war, is not accidental. Reports about increases in GDP and industrial production, falling unemployment and the generally Teflon-like resistance of the Russian economy to sanctions are simple propaganda, designed to resonate among supporters of reaching an agreement with Moscow.

Putin uses the old Soviet trick of pumping up the economy with arms. However, the civilian sectors of the economy cannot keep up with their pace, deprived of access to capital, technology and labor due to sanctions, drained by the war machine.

However, Moscow presents this crisis as a great success, boasting, among other things, suppressing unemployment.

However, there is plenty of work in Russia, mainly because 800,000 young educated people fled the country to avoid conscription, half a million died in the war, and hundreds of thousands more were stuck in the trenches in Ukraine.

What the Russians call the elimination of unemployment is in fact a dramatic effect of the war.
